People4Success and the Te Awamutu Chamber of Commerce have joined together to launch a new monthly employee recognition award.
The ‘Employee of the Month’ award, which is open to any employee who works in the Te Awamutu Courier readership area, is designed to recognise employee excellence.
Chamber of Commerce president Chris Smith says the award is an ideal way to focus on the great things that happen every day in business and share the recognition with the whole community.
‘We know that employers value their people and want to recognise the excellence whether it is in customer service, innovation, or skill.
‘These monthly awards are about recognising the extra effort that people contribute in a positive way by celebrating their success.’
People4Success was a logical partner to the awards as we are a company that works with clients in the local area to support people strategies. People4Success owner, Lee Astridge, is excited about the prospect of creating an ongoing forum for employers to show how much they value their people.
‘It is hard being an employer and often we are making tough decisions every day. This is a way for employers to show their people they value them and to celebrate their contribution.’
The monthly winner of the Employee of the Month award will be presented with a restaurant voucher so they can celebrate their success with their nearest and dearest.
The awards start in October and nominations need to be made on a nomination form which can be downloaded here.
