People Manager and Employee of the Month for September 2015

Congratulations to Giann Reece, the winner of our Employee of the Month for September 2015. Giann is a Sales Assistant with Bayleys Real Estate in Te Awamutu.

"Giann commenced with our business in September two years ago initially as a Personal Assistant to Sharon James and Stuart Gudsell at Bayleys. It soon became clear that Giann showed tremendous aptitude and we encouraged her to undertake the further academic and practical qualifications required to become a Licensed Salesperson which would enable her to provide our clients with greater value.

Giann willingly undertook the course of study and soon qualified. Giann is now the Group's right hand and manages our time effectively in a meticulously organised fashion to ensure that we maintain an extremely high level of service to all our clients. Giann works hand in hand with us on the property marketing aspect of each campaign and coordinates every programme to ensure the properties hit the market on schedule.

Her communicative as well as administrative skills make her a valued asset to all our clients. Her in-depth knowledge of operations and campaign management allow us to constantly exceed our clients' expectations and with her high level of energy and enthusiasm for the role, she is extremely approachable. In summary, Giann is invaluable to our Group."

Our People Manager for the Month of September is Grant Eyre, Nursery Manager at Growing Spectrum. Grant has been with Growing Spectrum for 11 years and Peter Fraser had this to say -

"Grant has doubled the size of our company's production since taking the position as Manager in 2004. Grant's day to day involvement with our staff of 35 means dealing with every aspect of our staff and their families. Personnel management ranges from looking after the health and wellbeing of our staff to dealing with absenteeism, no two days are ever the same!

Grant has fantastic organisational skills and his attention to detail means staff are informed and engaged in their jobs. His caring nature means people have confidence in him; any issues are dealt with efficiently. Staff and management both acknowldege his ability to resolve and manage any issue that might arise. While I have pleasure nominating Grant for this position, I know our whole staff would feel he is deserving of this position."
